NOTE: In this brutal trail race, men's winner Duncan Callahan finished first for the second time in three years. Two-time champion Anton Krupicka dropped out. According to Ultrarunning.com, Krupicka "led the race from the beginning and achieved a lead of more than an hour at mile 70 but, began to experience medical problems and dropped. It was the second consecutive year that Krupicka, who won here in 2007 and 2008, dropped for medical reasons while leading." Womens winner Elizabeth Howard won by over an hour.
