NOTE: Lukas Verzbicas followed up his Nike Cross Nationald win last week with the top spot here, winning his second consecutive Foot Locker Cross Country Championship easily in 14:59 (he jogged the final 50 meters). Verzbicas joins Dathan Ritzenhein and Abdirizak Mohamu as the only boys to ever repeat as Foot Locker Champions. With this meet being the last of the high school season in the United States, Verzbicas will now turn his attention to the track, where he hopes to run a sub-four minute mile. As he stated back in June at the adidas Grand Prix in New York, "In the near future, I can promise you I will [run four minutes] and before I graduate high school, I will definitely do it." Cornwall, N.Y. senior Aisling Cuffe also earned an easy win, beating the field and Nike Cross National Champion Rachel Johnson by 34 seconds. Taking the lead and lengthing the gap to 20 meters by half-way, Cuffe simply ran away from the competition.
